A partnership worthy of a zombie apocalypse, AMC and Mountain Dew are working together for the eighth season of “The Walking Dead”. The season premiers on October 22nd, which will also be the show’s 100th episode! The show has been #1 on television for the last five years among viewers 18-49 years old. “By partnering with AMC and the incredibly successful ‘The Walking Dead’ series, we’re bringing together two of the most passionate fan bases in the country. The Walking Dead Encounter
Through the partnership, they launched “The Walking Dead Encounter” augmented reality app. The app allows fans to bring some of the famous zombie walkers into their own real-world environment; additionally, they can share their experience on social media. Continuing the branded partnership, “The Walking Dead” characters are featured on Mountain Dew’s products in stores nationwide. Some of the characters featured will include: Rick Grimes, Michonne and Daryl Dixon on individual bottles and 12-pack outer cases. This unique packaging will be sold this fall, while supplies last.
