NBA All-Star Weekend brought back everyone’s favorite relative- Uncle Drew! Uncle Drew returned to New Orleans for this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend in “pop-up shop” fashion to bring fans the ultimate experience.
Uncle Drew, played by Cleveland Cavaliers star player Kyrie Irving, returned to fans in a new way for the 2017 All-Star Game. Although he wasn’t seen on the court this time around, he came back to to provide us with one of a kind basketball commentary. His new clip called “All-Star Game” can be seen below.
The space this video takes place in is modeled after Uncle Drew’s favorite local pizza joint. This pizza joint featured never-before-seen Uncle Drew merchandise that will not be available online. The menu featured Uncle Drew themed menu items along with fan meet-and-greet opportunities not only with Uncle Drew, but Baron Davis, Dr. J, J.B. Smoove, and other basketball greats.
New Uncle Drew shorts will continue to be released throughout the rest of this 2017 NBA season, so stay tuned! We also have heard of some possible plans to feature Uncle Drew in a feature length film completely conceived, developed and produced by PepsiCo.
