NBA x Mountain Dew 3-on-3

Mountain Dew and the NBA have teamed up to bring three-on-three basketball to a national stage for the first-ever DewNBA3X All-Star Game. This event will be headlined by Dew NBA partners Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving. Westbrook and Irving will both serve as “honorary general managers” for their teams. This 30-minute special of the game will air on TNT Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. ET.

To recruit the best ball players they could find, legendary NBA Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Scott worked together to scout the top amateur players they could find from coast to coast. Each coach selected players for NBA All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving. The players selected by Shaq and Scott matched up for intense, one-on-one elimination games to see who would make the cut. The winning player was then given the chance to compete in New Orleans, where basketball legends Jason Williams and Baron Davis assigned team captains for both Kyrie’s and Westbrook’s team. With the help of these current and former NBA stars, the players will compete for the ultimate title in three-on-three basketball.

A series of six episodes running on TNT takes you through the journey to New Orleans for both the players and NBA legends. You get to see everything from the heated tryouts all the way to the draft to build the best team. Watch the first episode below.
