Last month, on May 23, Mahaska team members participated in the annual “Golf Under the Lights” tournament at Oskaloosa Golf. The event raised $21,850 through entry fees, donations and raffle ticket sales for the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary this year!
The event is sponsored by the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary and Mahaska Communication Group, and featured a six-person, best ball tournament. 108 golfers on 18 teams enjoyed a fantastic night of golfing under bright lights donated by Musco Lighting. All golfers had the chance to shoot a hole-in-one to win a new car, and one lucky golfer had the opportunity to make a 40-foot putt to win $5,000.
“It was such a beautiful night for golfing. We had a terrific group of golfers and many volunteers. We are so grateful to our co-sponsor, MCG, and to Musco Lighting for making it happen,” said Mary Anderson, co-chair of Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary.
Committee members sent a big thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and many others who donated their time, raffle items, or equipment. As usual, it was a late evening, but for a very worthy cause. Great job, Team Mahaska!
