What was your job before coming to Mahaska?

Fareway Stores for 20 years.  I grew up there.

What drew you to Mahaska originally?

I needed to be home for my family more and I live a block away. I’m also excited to be a part of the community.

What have you gained from working at Mahaska?

Gained hours with my family. And I have now seen the other side of the sales industry. I see the process of gaining new items and promoting them.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Start with waking up with my family and getting them ready  for school. When at the office I start out with emails. I spend most of my time on the phone.  My day is full of taking customer orders,  learning to run reports, and helping at the front desk.

Most flavors of Bubbl’r

Favorite Snack that Mahaska distributes?

What do you do outside of Mahaska for fun?

I spend most of my time with my family outside.  I love to garden and collect plants.  I coach soccer for my 4 year old son.  I really enjoy playing disc golf. Competitively and just for fun.  PDGA #105805 🙂  I travel to play tournaments in the midwest.  We have a competitive smoking team (Limp Brizket) and enter events.  My husband and I love to try new restaurants and new recipes.  We go on motorcycle rides also.

If you could pick a superpower, which would it be? Why?

Omniscience/ Librarian- The knowledge of all.  I would want to know everything from languages, all science, politics, economics, history, skills, secrets of the world  and more.  And reload every time something new is discovered.

What inspires you?

My family.  My children keep me creative and wanting to be the best mother.  My husband drives me to keep going and try new things.

If you had $1,000,000 how would you spend it?

I would buy a house in the country with land, build a disc golf course, help my family, buy a golf cart to drive to drive to work then invest if there’s any left.

What is your favorite quote?

“ GBNG”  ( Get Better, Not Bitter) T. Sash   I tell this to my children when doing anything.  Also think about it when I don’t practice enough.
