Mtn Dew Ice debuted a chilly TV spot during the Philadelphia 76ers game on Christmas Day this year, starring NBA All Star Joel Embiid and internet personality King Bach.
In the 30-second ad (below), the 76ers’ Embiid — a Mtn Dew spokesperson since last year — and Bach create ice personas who face off on an imaginary ice basketball court on a city street. Embiid doles out some ice cold rejection during the game of one-on-one.
Titled “That’s Cold,” the commercial, from BBDO NY, closes with the Jay Rock song “Win.” The commercial will run throughout the 2018/2019 NBA season during games broadcast on Turner networks and ESPN, as well as ABC.
